Art by Grieving Children

More at http://umc.org/videos/ The Rays of Hope Children's Grief Centre in Texas helps children who have lost a loved one, are experiencing a divorce, or coping with a parent being incarcerated. Because traumas can be hard to talk about, counselors help kids tell their stories through art and music.

The Cove has many arts based activities to help children with their bereavement process.

Children Full of Life (1 of 5)

"In the award-winning documentary Children Full of Life, a fourth-grade class in a primary school in Kanazawa, northwest of Tokyo, learn lessons about compassion from their homeroom teacher, Toshiro Kanamori. He instructs each to write their true inner feelings in a letter, and read it aloud in front of the class. By sharing their lives, the children begin to realize the importance of caring for their classmates."

It shows the universality of the healing power of peer support for grieving children.
