The Butterfly Project
The Butterfly Project was Created to Honor the Memory of Jason Michael Bisaillon and Danielle Aileen Crumb The Butterfly Project is a new way that Cove Kids are helping to raise funds so that other children and families can benefit as they have from Cove services.
The Butterfly Project was the idea of Roni Crumb with help from Caitlin Bisaillon
Background from Roni Crumb:
"In 2007, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and passed away two weeks later. We were immediately welcomed into The Cove family. They taught us how to remember her without crying and how to continue living our lives in a way that would make her proud."
"In the past, 3 friends and I worked together to bake and sell cookies to benefit The Cove. Caitlin Bissaillon helped me with the project. The Cove had been helping her family since her father passed away on December 21, 2008. The impact that The Cove had on her life caused her to continue fundraising with me, as co-founder of "The Butterfly Project"
"The Cove is a nonprofit organization that helps children cope after the death of a loved one. The volunteers in this group host two meetings each month. During each meeting, they teach kids different ways to address the many feelings that occur during the grieving process. The organization also works with schools. They talk with teachers and counselors about how to help children cope with such a huge loss."
The Butterfly and the Flower:
A "butterfly" in the Butterfly Project is an individual who would like to help fundraise for The Cove. The job of the butterfly is to find people to be "flowers." The role of the flower is to donate to The Cove.
The butterfly will then continue to collect donations until he or she has raised at least $20. Once they have raised enough money, the butterfly will mail the form and the money to the Cove office as part of the Butterfly Project.
You can also donate online by clicking the donate button above, and please indicate if you would like your donation to be in memory of someone. The Butterfly Project will grow, and the names of donors and who their donation is in memory of, will be posted on the website below.

Roni and Caitlin are contacting their friends, other Cove kids and families to grow the project.
We would like to thank all future members of The Butterfly Project in advance!
