 Run for The Cove 5K Race, Memorial Walk
and
Kids’ Fun Run
Since 1997, when two Cove parents sponsored the first event, The Cove 5K Race, Memorial Walk and Kids’ Fun Run has grown from a handful of participants to nearly a thousand people. Held annually in October at Hammonnessett State Park, this event features both individuals and teams competing for prizes in age-appropriate categories. All proceeds benefit The Cove. The Cove's success is built on the dedicated support of hundreds of volunteers. This year's Recognition Dinner will be held on September 11th at the Sheraton Four Points in Meriden. This event gets to the heart of what The Cove represents: the compassion of dedicated individuals working to provide support to grieving children/teens and families in the state of Connecticut.

 The 5th Annual “A Taste of The Cove Gala” was a huge success!
The Gala was held on May 30, 2009 at the Hartford Golf Club. This year our guest hosts were Desiree Fontaine, Traffic Reporter from WTNH Channel 8 and Joe Furey, Chief Meteorologist, Fox 61 Morning News. They helped make the evening fun and exciting! The evening included a wine tasting, silent and live auction and an ice cream sundae bar.
The Cove relies on the support we receive from the community. Whether it is a cash donation, sponsorship of an event or item for our auction, each gift allows us to carry out our mission. We can truly make a difference in the lives of the grieving children in our Family Programs and our School Based Programs because of our supporters.
