Other Cove Events

Beneficiary Events

Each year, organizations and individuals host events such as "Casual Fridays", "Community Awareness" drives and "Cove Days" with proceeds benefitting The Cove.  We are grateful for the support of the individuals and organizations that contribute to these events.

Our thanks for recent events hosted by:

West Hartford Cove Site Director Valerie Cordiano and her husband Dean celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary in May and at their request, guests donated close to $2,000 to The Cove in their honor!

Jake Rosenkrantz's Bar Mitzvah project was to work to get his West Hartford  Little League Team named The Cove Cardinals in Memory of Sandy Hook.  Jake and his family accepted donations for The Cove and on opening day they orchestrated a balloon release in honor and in memory of those who died and those who are grieving the death of a loved one.  Click here for more information on Jake's efforts and The Cove Cardinal's Game Schedule.  Congratulations to The Cove Cardinals for their 2nd Place Finish in their Division!

Employees donated funds to wear jeans on fridays and participated in a drawing for a 1/2 day off from work - with proceeds benefitting The Cove.

Smith Insurance employees regularly donate to Connecticut nonprofit organizations through this campaign,   The company then matches the funds raised, making a greater impact for the beneficiary charities.

Employees also volunteer time and "sweat equity" for building projects such as Habitat for Humanity. Thank you to all the Smith Insurance employees who participated!
