Acknowledging the statistics that claim approximately 40,000 grieving children at any one time across the State of Connecticut, The Cove has as its mission to provide hope and healing. In an effort to serve greater numbers of our state's grieving children who may be confused, anxious, and experience a range of difficulties in coping with death,The Cove Center For Grieving Children, along with other community and children's organizations, has established a statewide collaborative and clearing house of information. A Resource and Referral Directory for professionals, families, and adults; a statewide Website Directory; and free referrals and information are readily available to all in need of these services The Cove meets the needs of Connecticut's communities through the establishment of "roundtable meetings," networking, and idea implementation to foster awareness of services for Connecticut's grieving children. In addition, The Cove collaborates with community professionals and service providers to enhance the quality and services available to children statewide.
