Male Caregivers of Grieving Children- Virtual Group Support Cove Program

If you are a male parent/caregiver supporting a child(ren) grieving the death of a loved one, please consider joining our virtual support group for men through The Cove Center for Grieving Children. This support group is run by licensed clinician David Ortiz. The support group will cover topics related to exploring the needs of grieving children as well as male-specific issues as it pertains to being a parent/caregiver of a grieving child(ren). This is a safe space for men to open up and support one another in navigating the challenging waters of grief in hopes of continuing to support the children that need them most.

Timeframe
This is a men's only group that will meet 1x weekly on Thursdays from 7:30pm-8:30pm for 6 weeks, with an option to continue group after the first 6 weeks.

Cohort 1: September 2023 - October 2023 (Thursdays 7:30pm-8:30pm, 6 week group)

Cohort 2: October 2023 - November 2023 (Thursdays 7:30pm-8:30pm, 6 week group)

I hereby give permission for The Cove Center for Grieving Children, Inc. to use my child’s artwork to promote the mission of The Cove, a program for grieving children and their families. This may include publication in their newsletter, social media, or on display in their coordinating office.

Once you submit your application you will be directed to our donation page. There is a recommended $25.00 one-time donation, which will help support our FREE Cove Virtual Programs and offset some of the costs of our organization, but you may contribute whatever is appropriate for your budget to support the services we provide. This process is optional. Thank you for your contribution.

Your application will be submitted to the site(s) of your choice and the site director will be following up with you to discuss your families needs and see if the program is an appropriate fit. Please allow 5-7 business days for this request to be processed. If you are filling out this application during June-August, please allow additional response time as we do not run our program during those months.
