Camp Compassion is a free, weekend-long, overnight bereavement camp for youth ages 6-17 who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives. The Cove will host Camp Compassion 2024 from May 3rd - May 5th at Club Getaway in Kent, CT. Please complete this application if you would like to volunteer. Once completed, you will receive a form to complete a background check as well as information about our 2024 camp volunteer trainings.
As part of the application process for all Camp Compassion volunteers, a $20 background check must be completed each year, even if you have volunteered in the past. Once this application is completed, you will be emailed a DCF form to be completed as part of the background check process. This information must be completed to be a volunteer for camp. If there is any information you would like to disclose prior to the background check, please do so below.
Once you submit your application, you will be redirected to our donation page where you can make a suggested $20 background check payment. A background check is required annually for all camp volunteers-- this donation helps to offset the total cost. We thank you for your generosity!
