2026 Run for The Cove 5K & Memorial Walk Recap
Updated: Oct 23
THANK YOU!!!
We are thrilled to announce that our 29th Annual Run for The Cove was a success! Together we raised over $80,000 to support our mission to offer hope and healing to grieving children in CT.
With your help, we are able to continue to offer our Family Program, Camp Compassion, and our Virtual and Summer Programs to children who have lost dear loved ones. We are grateful for all the incredible support we received before, after, and during the event.
Highlights of the Day:
The weather was gorgeous for the over 500 participants who joined us!
The 5K Runners raced down the beautiful path along the water with a view of the colorful Fall trees.
Our 2-mile Memorial Walk, lined with beautiful signs of loved ones, provided some special moments of remembrance and an amazing view of the park.
Kids enjoyed a fun run on the berm as well as crafts, pumpkin decorating and a chance to learn about some turtles from Turtle Haven.
And we all had some popcorn!
Thank you to those who helped the day go smoothly and added to the experience:
All our AMAZING volunteers, you always give 100% and we couldn't do it without you!
Joe Furey from WTNH Channel 8 who emceed the event.
DJ Phyllis for keeping the energy high with music and fun throughout the event.
Indulge by Palazzo and their fresh breakfast favorites and coffee.
